Chase The Wind

How long must you chase the wind,
Even though you cannot catch it?
You let the breeze laugh and taunt you.
It goads you into the chase.

The sun watches you sprint across the sky.
The sunbeams warm you.
But the gentle warnings don’t reach your ears.
Narrow minds focus on the wind.

“Leap and jump!
You are almost there!”
Gusts taunt you and blow back your hair.
Roll the boulder and catch the wind.
