Summertime Affective Disorder

It’s a hot, Summer day.
The sun is shining and heat radiates off everything.
On these sunny days, you’re supposed to be happy.
So why do I feel this way?

When winter comes and the sun gets low.
People’s moods get low.
The snowy weather makes people sad.
But the sunshine is supposed to make everyone happy.

It’s too hot to be sad.
It’s too sunny to be sad.
But yet when I stand in the sun, I feel bad for being sad.
And now I feel even worse.
