Wistful Thinking

Thinking back before the pandemic.
Being able to go anywhere without concern.
Meeting friends and giving them a hug.

Thinking back before unemployment.
Delivering the mail and packages.
Stressful moments coupled with lots of walking.

Thinking back before graduating college.
Hanging with friends in the dorm and making memories.
Academic achievement and eyes full of wonder looking toward the future.

Thinking about today.
Wondering if these heavy days will looked back with nostalgia.
Will I yearn for these days or be glad they are far behind me?
