Weekly Blog January 6th, 2019: Year Three/More of the Same

Hello Internet!

I hope everyone had a wonderful week and had a fantastic start to their New Year. Hopefully your holiday was awesome and got a ton of awesome Christmas Presents. Personally I’m having a blast playing Octopath Traveler and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee for my Nintendo Switch. I also got “Bridge of Clay” by Markus Zusak, but I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. “The Book Thief” is one of my favorite books of all time (Five Books That Have Influenced Me) and I was excited to see him put out another book that I had to get it, even before knowing what it was about. Anyway, I am excited to get around to read it as well as finish those video games. I don’t really have anything to highlight because this is the first Weekly Blog of the Year. However I did want to mention two things super quickly. First, I put out a creative writing piece in December featuring My Top Ten Poems of 2018 and a creative writing piece featuring My Best Writing Prompt Pieces of 2018 broken down by month. Those are just fun pieces showing you the best of last year so you can catch up on the best stuff no matter if you’re a new viewer or old part of the community. I also put out a special Creative Writing Piece I published on January 1st titled New King On The Throne. You should read that as well! Secondly, I want to thank you for making December one of the best months I had so far. I thought that November was great and that December would be lacking because I took a half a month off, but no. You wonderful people made it a fantastic month with record setting numbers. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I hope we can keep the trend going into January and all the way through 2019.

Speaking of 2019, oh my gosh people, it’s 2019! 2019 is definitely a year that appears in an 1980’s movie where the world is a dystopian future controlled by robots or aliens or both. Like 2018 didn’t sound like a real year, but 2019 is a complete farce. There’s no way that it’s a real year. But here we are in the future year of 2019 and here I am starting the third year of writing and blogging here on WordPress. So what can you expect for 2019? Well, let me tell you. It’s going to be CRAZY!! Actually, it’s going to be more of the same, which isn’t bad. I’m just not changing things up which is a good thing. Right now I’m still planning on keeping with my schedule of Weekly Blogs on Sunday, Poetry on Wednesday, Writing Prompt Pieces on Friday, and My Pokémon Fanfiction Series on Saturdays. That being said, things may change after the first month. I have started a new job working full time and that might interfere with how much time I have to write. For now this will continue to be the norm. It seems to work well with my schedule and all the readers out there. Basically year one was a bit of a mess, and year two lead me to focus and find my grove. I want to continue that into year three. I am thinking about more “seasonal content” like my Pokémon Heart Gold/Soul Silver Fanfiction Series which will be ending in March, but the staples of Weekly Blog, Poem, and Writing Prompt Piece will continue.

I already have many pieces already written and ready to be published as well as Writing Prompts lined up for future pieces. I’ve paced out my Pokémon Fanfiction Series where it will have a satisfying ending sometime in March. I have Weekly Blog ideas stored up. I’m just ready to get back into the thick of things and start publishing things again. I also got this awesome book of of Writing Prompt ideas titled “Complete The Story” from Picadilly and I’m really excited to turn those into pieces. I thought I’d use just a few of them, but as I read through them, I probably marked fifty or so prompts that I want to use. It really got those creative juices flowing through me.

I am looking forward to all the pieces I have lined up for 2019 and just thinking about how great 2018 was for the website makes me warm and fuzzy inside. I hope all of you are also looking forward to 2019. Maybe you are sticking to those New Year’s Resolutions or maybe you’ve given up already. Maybe you just skipped making up resolutions at all. No matter what your situation, let me tell you that sometimes those resolutions do work out. I had a resolution to “Write More” in 2017 and that spiraled into Writing and Blogging here on WordPress for two years and more. How long will I be doing this? I have no idea, but for now I will keep on writing and publishing stuff here for all of you to enjoy. I guess resolutions do work out if you just keep with and keep pushing yourself to be a better person. Take on that adversary and make it bow down to you. You can do this!

I know that was a bit all over the place, but honestly, I’m just happy to be back and I’m excited to start this new year full of wonderful pieces. Like I said, 2019 is going to be more of a same as I build on what I established in 2018. Weekly Blogs on Sundays, Poetry on Wednesdays, and Writing Prompts on Fridays. On top of that, I will continue my Pokémon Heart Gold/Soul Silver Fanfiction on Saturdays until it ends in March. Then I will be looking into other possible seasonal content for this Blog. I hope you are here for the long haul and want to join the community. Right now we are a little over 300 strong, but I want to continue to grow the community in 2019. With the help of viewers like you and the others who continue to read my stuff and support me, I know that we can grow the community and spread love and joy all over the internet. I’m truly thankful for all the wonderful people out there that read my stuff and show me love. It makes my day and my whole year.

Thank you again and I hope you have a wonderful 2019!
