Better

I’m the best I’ve been but I want to be better.
Do I need a better car, better job, better life?
Or just a better point of view on all of this?
Hoping to be better while avoiding being bitter.

Can’t cash in now.
I have to be a better better.
Who is betting I can’t be a better gambler?
Too busy gambling that this will lead to a better life.

What are the odds that things get better?
Over or under I end up under performing.
All while trying my best to get better.
I bet I can lose even betting on a sure thing.
