Hello Internet!
I hope you are doing well and staying healthy! Also I hope you all are staying safe if you are traveling today. I know that I had to change my plans a little bit to make sure I could be on the road before a huge winter storm hit. Winter really went from zero to sixty real quick. It was like December was building up winter weather over 20 days and decided to unleash it for Christmas. So everyone wishing for a white Christmas definitely got their wish. I just hope everyone can get to where they wanted to get to for Christmas and that they didn’t get stranded somewhere because of the ongoing blizzard that hit a lot of the US.
Currently I am staying at my parents house and when this blog posts, I am probably waking up to spend Christmas morning with my family. I am definitely excited to see my friends and family for Christmas. I was actually reading through last year’s Christmas Blog before I wrote this one and last year I was not feeling the holiday spirit. I was really down on Christmas and wasn’t really looking forward to it. But this year it’s really a 180. I was really excited about Christmas this year and really in the Christmas spirit. I’ve been listening to Christmas songs daily and even enjoying my favorite Christmas movies like Elf and Muppets Christmas Carol. And I’ll take it a step further and say that I’m really excited for New Year’s and 2023. Obviously I can’t predict the future and maybe 2023 is really going to suck, but I’m going into the new year with excitement. I want to build off of what I’ve been doing this year while also making better choices. In 2022 I made some strides to work on myself and in 2023 I want to do even more. But I’m getting a little ahead of myself. I’m sure I’ll talk more about that once the New Year is actually here.
For now I’m just going to enjoy Christmas and this little holiday break. I’m going to relax a little, read a little, and play a lot of video games. I have almost completed Persona 5 Royal (something I’m sure I’ll talk about once I’m back in January) and I haven’t even started Pokemon. So I’m going to be spending a lot of time this Christmas playing turn-based JRPGs.
Anyway, enough about me. I really hope that everyone out there that is reading this is enjoying their holiday. If you’re not really feeling festive, that’s alright. I’m sending some love your way and hope that next year will be a better Christmas for you. Absolutely! But I also appreciate all the love and support I get from readers new and old.
I hope this Blog is enough to hold you over for a while. Just a reminder that I’m officially on my holiday break but keep your eyes out for a special piece coming out mid-week where I’m going to go over a few of my favorite Poems I published this year. Think of it as a celebration and a way to look back on 2022 through my Poems. For now I think I’ll leave it there.
