Hello Internet!
I hope you all are having a wonderful week and are staying healthy! As I write this, snow is falling outside my window so I guess it’s properly the Christmas season. We are only a few days away from the first day of winter and a week away from Christmas! Hopefully you have gotten all your Christmas shopping done. Usually I’m super late with getting my Christmas shopping done, but this year I made sure to order stuff early so it had plenty of time to get to me. As someone who used to work for the United States Post Office, I really appreciate all the delivery drivers out there working their butts off to deliver packages. I know the job can really suck and the hours are really long. So if you see a delivery driver out there or one brings you some packages, make sure to tell them thanks for them doing their jobs.
Also speaking of Christmas, this is going to be the start of the holiday break. I’m not going to be posting regularly for the next month or so. Normally I just don’t post for a while, but this time it’s a planned break. I just want to spend some time enjoying the holidays without stressing over needing to write and publish stuff. Every year around this time I take a break and this year is no different. I’m looking forward to spending the holidays with friends and family. Plus I have a lot of video games to play and books to read. Hopefully I can get fully recharged over the next few weeks and come back stronger going into 2023. And don’t worry, even though I struggled a lot through 2022, I am definitely coming back for 2023. Most likely I won’t be publishing a ton in 2023, similar to this year, but we’ll see. That’s a decision I’ll have to make and then I’ll let you all know what the plan is.
For the time being I’ll let you know that this won’t be the last thing I publish this year. I’ll have a Special Weekly Blog for Christmas as well as a piece highlighting the Poetry I wrote this year. Normally I do a piece where I highlight all the Writing Prompt Pieces I wrote this year, but I didn’t write that many Writing Prompt Pieces this year. Other than all the Dungeons and Dragons inspired pieces, I only wrote one Writing Prompt Piece and that was in January. So, I’ll just be showing off my favorite Poems of the year. If I get really inspired I might write more of that during the break, but most likely I won’t be back properly until January 15th, 2023. So you have a whole month of waiting where you can catch up on all the pieces you might have missed this year. There are over 750 published pieces on the website so you have plenty to read.
I want to say thank you to everyone who read my stuff and supported me this year. Last year around this time I was nearing 800 Followers and now this year I am close to hitting 900 Followers. I’m hoping to hit that number in the new year and maybe even reach 1,000 Followers before the end of 2023. I can only do that with all of your help. I know this year was barren at times in terms of new pieces being published, but all of you still supported me through all of it. All of the people who read the pieces I published, left Likes and comments, and even shared them with other people really made my year. I really appreciate all of the readers I get no matter if you have been reading my stuff for years or this is the first thing you’ve seen of mine. Welcome! Even all those lurkers that read my stuff without saying a word, thank you for your support. It all means a ton to me! Hopefully I can come back strong in 2023 and give you all the pieces that you’ll enjoy. Again, I’m taking a break for the holidays and I will see you all in 2023 with a newly worked schedule!
