Tuned Out

The busyness of the world around me.
Becomes nothing more than a dull hum.
A little bit of white noise.
Can’t keep my attention for more than just a second. 

Put my headphones on and turn up the music. 
Tune out from the world around me. 
I drift here. 
In a space that’s all my own. 

Out of sync with everyone else. 
A wavelength that doesn’t quite match. 
This is where I stay and relax. 
A small piece of paradise, slightly out of focus.
