Breaking news burned into my retinas.
Twitter notifications telling me of one bad thing after another.
The world’s on fire.
People arguing whether to add gasoline or diesel fuel.
Just trying to go about my day.
Trying to stay informed.
Trying to speak out.
Trying to stand against a crowd of opposition.
Listening to both sides leaves my ears ringing.
Everyone’s got an opinion and a take.
Flooded with information, barely able to breathe.
I just want to listen to the science, the historians, and the experts.
Every day on high alert.
Panic in my veins.
Feels like everyday is a marathon.
Exhausted and looking for a moment of rest.
