Lazy January Rain

Lazy January rain.
Falling from the sky.
Too warm to be snow.
But it still drifts to the ground slowly.

Hitting the ground with a cold thud.
The frozen ground unwilling to absorb.
Just puddles on the surface waiting to be ice.
Wish it was snow.
