Bulletin Board: Wrapping Up For The Christmas Season (12/17/19)

Hello Everyone!

It’s almost Christmas and you know what that means? Presents and snows and people actually caring about The Hallmark Channel. Also it means that it’s almost time to wrap up for the year. I know that this year has been a bit of a roller coaster with ups and downs and it was a little front heavy, but we slowly drifted to the end. This Bulletin Board Post signifies the end of Allen_The_Writer 3.0 but there will be a few more things coming out before the end of the year which I want to talk about here. Also during this small break I’m going to be working on building up a stockpile of written pieces so that when I come back in January, I’ll have some posts already written and ready to be published. At least that’s the hope. For now let me talk about what’s going to happen for the rest of the year.

Tomorrow I will be publishing a list of my top picks for Poems that were published this past month and on Friday, I will be doing the same for the Writing Prompt Pieces that were published this year. I’ve done this every year and it’s a great way to highlight some of the better pieces I published that you may have missed. This year’s list will be a bit front heavy because I published a lot more pieces in the early part of the year compared to the later half of 2019. In one way this is kind of a blessing because these lists can show new readers pieces that they might have missed from the beginning of the year and allow older readers to go back and read the pieces they may have forgotten about. Anyway, the top list for Poetry will come out on Wednesday and Writing Prompts on Friday.

After that I don’t really have anything major planned for the rest of the year. I have a couple things I’m going to try to get published before the end of the year and there will be a Special Weekly Blog that will be published on Christmas Day, but for the most part I will be looking forward to the next year. Technically my Christmas break on publishing starts today and I will be back in full force on Sunday, January 12th, 2020 with a brand new Weekly Blog to kick off the new year and the new decade. I’m hoping to get back to the three posts a week schedule starting in the new year. We’ll see how it goes, but that’s the plan.

Last thing I want to say is Thank You to all the new and old readers here on WordPress who continue to read my Blogs, Poetry, and Writing Prompt Pieces even though they are few and far between. I know that it’s been really rocky in the later half of the year, but I still have a core group of readers here that support and me and read my stuff when it actually does get published. Despite having such a miserable time publishing stuff, I still had my best year yet in terms of visitors and views. With the help from all of you fantastic people, I’m hoping to continue that trend in 2020 as I continue to publish pieces and grow this community. All of the love and support really does mean so much to me and I appreciate all of it.

Thank you again and I hope you have a wonderful holiday! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and I’ll see you in January for Allen_The_Writer 4.0!
