Winter rains are cold and dreary.
They soak the frozen ground.
The water puddles with no where else to go.
Winter rains remind us that this could be snow.
Too warm for snowflakes to come down.
But too cold for the rain to really do anything.
It is not spring where the rain can begin rebirth.
No flowers will come from this rain.
Nor will there be joy from people dancing in it.
This rain is just cold.
It soaks you to your core.
It ruins snow mittens and soft-knit caps.
Winter rain, I give you two options.
Either be snow.
Or show up in April.
