Special Weekly Blog Christmas 2018

Hello Internet!

I hope everyone is enjoying The Christmas Season or any other Holiday Season you are celebrating today. I will be busy opening presents, spending time with family, and probably playing a ton of Smash Bros Ultimate with friends and family. There will also be a ton of Christmas cookies eaten and carols sung. No matter how much my family begs me to stop singing, I will not! As Buddy The Elf says, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” So no matter where you are or how you are celebrating today, just know that I hope that its wonderful day full of cheer and that Santa brought you the perfect gift for Christmas. If you are sending the holidays overseas because you are serving in the military, I want you to know that my thoughts are with you and I hope you are safe. If you are traveling today, I hope you will be extra careful and have safe travels. If you are celebrating by yourself, now that you are not alone this holiday season. Everyone here on the website is with you in spirit and wishing you the best! We are all giving you a festive group hug this Christmas season!

A big thing to keep in mind today is that Christmas is supposed to be about the ones we love and spending time with one another. The food and the presents are both great, but that’s not the focus. Today is about celebrating love and celebrating life. Today is about peace in a world full of war, a time of tranquility in a world of stress, and people doing good when it seems like there is so much evil happening in the world. Today is a day to celebrate the things that bring us together, so just keep that all in mind as you watch Christmas movies or eat Christmas Ham or hover you are celebrating.

Christmas is by far my favorite holiday and all of these things contribute to it. The snow, the lights, the trees, the traditions, the songs, and the movies all come together to make this time such a wonderful season. It just fills me with so much happiness thinking about it and living it today. Christmas does seem to be such a magical time even if that magic is really a mix of placebo affect and lack of Vitamin D. It just seems like this time really can bring people together and bring about miracles. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, some might say. It’s not a perfect time, but its a time where those imperfections get buried under layers of wrapping paper and get to be ignored for one whole day.

So what am I trying to say with all this festive rambling? I don’t know! But I think it might be that 1) Christmas if my favorite holiday, 2) No matter where you are and how you are celebrating, you should take in all the Christmas Joy, and 3) This Christmas I’m reminded of all the wonderful readers out there enjoying my stuff. All the love and support I get sent my way makes for one of the best Christmas presents I’ve ever received. It truly means a lot to me, so thank you so much for all your support.

Just a quick reminder that I’m on Christmas vacation, but will be back full time with our regular schedule starting January 6th, 2019. However, in the mean time, there will be some special stuff going up this week as a way to look back on 2018 and pick out some of the stuff I am proud of writing.
