Hello Internet!
Welcome to the month of April. Hopefully you survived all the Easter Egg Hunts as well as the April Fool’s pranks. If you want you can check out yesterday’s Weekly Blogs. One was my attempt at an April Fool’s Prank and the other was a sincere look at Easter and April Fool’s Day. Much bigger news is that last Friday we hit 200 pieces here on WordPress! On Friday I put out a piece titled Warrior’s Bond all about two fantasy heroes fighting together against Lizard Men and Wyvern Riders. It wasn’t as big of an event of when we hit 100 pieces here on the website, but I will tell you that Warrior’s Bond Part 2 will be coming out soon, so keep an eye out for that.
Now I talked about it a little bit in the last couple Weekly Blogs, but I really want to talk about it now. I really appreciate all the support that you, as the reader, has sent my way. I’m about 15 months into this whole Blog/Creative Writing thing and I am blown away. We’ve reached almost 150 followers and I’ve written over 200 pieces her on the website. Those are my accomplishments, but they are yours as well. All of this wouldn’t be possible without your support. Sure I’d still be writing stuff and publishing it here on WordPress, but your views, likes, comments, and shares really help push me when I’m tired or stressed out or I just don’t want to write anything. I want to push it off to another day and make excuses, but knowing that people are out there reading my stuff really gives me the kick in the butt to get it done.
Then there’s something like my Poetry. I am not a poet. I really struggle with poetry because I want to put a lot of feeling behind it. Short stories don’t necessarily need some huge emotional pay off, but I feel like poetry has to be deep and you have to be deep to write poetry. And I am not deep. But this is my hangup. I’m not the master of poetry. I don’t make up the rules. Anyway, when I started to write poetry, it was met with a ton of positive responses. Already my poems are some of my most popular pieces with the most likes and the most views. Wednesday is my most popular day and that’s all thanks to my poetry and your support of it. So thank you.
So I’m not sure how much I have left to say. Just know that I will never stop saying Thank You for making this all possible and supporting me as I write and publish stuff. Every time I say it, I mean it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! From the bottom of my heart I want to Thank You for being here with me as I go on this journey to make this Blog/Creative Writing Outlet better and better. I’m so glad I get to share this milestone of 200 pieces with you and I can’t wait what the next 100 or 200 will hold. Doing some quick estimates using my current publishing pattern, it looks like my two-year anniversary and piece 300 being published will be around the same time (January/February 2019), so I’ll make sure it’s a big celebration. Who knows what this website will look like then or what I’ll be writing or how many followers I have. Only time will tell I guess.
