Hello Internet!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone who celebrates! I hope you all are doing well and are enjoying your holiday no matter where in the world you are or how you are celebrating. If you are traveling, I hope you stay safe and your travels are stress free. Honestly I hope that your holidays are stress free no matter what. I know this time of the year can be filled with extra stresses, but I hope that everyone can enjoy as much peace and serenity as possible. I know for me I will be spending time with friends and family this Christmas and I’ve even taken some extra days off of work to give myself some time to just relax and enjoy the holiday season.
I plan on spending some time over the next few days watching some Christmas movies, reading books, playing video games, and maybe even doing some writing. I also want to get a jump start on some New Year Resolutions of working out more and eating less fast food. That last one should be better not only for my health, but also for my wallet.
I do not know what 2025 will bring in terms of life stuff as well as blog stuff, but just know that I’m not going away just yet. If I had a magic ball, I’d predict that I won’t write as much as I want next year. But I won’t totally stop writing either. This place is a nice little respite at times where I can just spend a moment writing something and put it out into the world. It’s something that I appreciate and don’t plan on giving up anytime soon. In terms of life outside the blog in 2025, I’m hoping to continue building off the momentum of 2024 and double down on healthy habits I’ve developed while re-establishing others that have fallen to the wayside. One thing I’m proud of is that I managed to read a dozen books this year and I plan on doing the same next year. My Christmas year was filled with books I want to read so I already have a list of books that I’ll tackle in 2025 as well as a few more that will come out throughout the year. Plus I have a friend who is a big Brandon Sanderson fan who wants me to read the Mistborn Trilogy so I’ll probably try to read those next year as well. There are just too many good books to read, but I guess that’s a good problem to have.
All things considered, I am very happy to spend some time relaxing and enjoying Christmas with my friends and family. And I’m hoping that this time will help replenish some of my energy going into the beginning of 2025. I definitely have some major worries about the next year, but for now I’m trying to put that out of my mind and focus on enjoying Christmas. This time of the year is usually pretty special to me. The Christmas lights, music, and movies are all special in some way. There truly is some sort of Christmas magic. And it is that magical feeling that I’m holding on to tightly this year. Like I said, no matter how you celebrate the season, I hope you have a good one. Even if you are spending it by yourself, just know that I’m thinking about you and I appreciate you.
Truly I appreciate all of the people who read my stuff. I know it’s been a long time since I’ve been at all consistent with writing and publishing stuff on the blog. But that just makes me appreciate you all that much more. When I do publish something no matter how long, there is a core group of supporters who will read my stuff and like it. And that means the world to me. So thank you so much for all the love and support!
There might be one or two more published pieces to finish off the year and then I’ll be back in 2025 to start the eighth year of this blog which is something wild to me. So keep an eye out for those and if you want to make sure you see the stuff I write in your reader’s feed, make sure you Follow me here on WordPress. I haven’t done a call to action like that on anything in awhile (mostly because I haven’t posted Weekly Blogs for awhile), but I have been growing a small community on the internet full of creative, supportive, and wonderful people and I’d love for you to be a part of that if you aren’t already.
Alright that’s enough rambling from me. Again, I hope you have a Merry Christmas, a wonderful holiday season, and a fantastic start to the new year!
